Successful Results
I wish I could convince each of you that the effect of a
recession on you and your business could be over in a very short
time. In fact, I would like to convince you that the supposed
recession will have no effect at all on you and your business..
I’ve given this a great deal of thought because I’ve found
myself really annoyed with how we are all being talked into a
the idea of a recession. The evidence is pretty convincing. The
media, the politicians, our local lunch time discussion is all about the negativity that is
coming. I can tell you that you don’t have to wait to be told
there is a recession to have one. Your whole life can be one
huge recession.
You could have negative self talk. Your life could may be filled
with people who don’t support you. You may be afraid you won't
be able to achieve what you want. You may feel that wealth,
health and beauty elude you.
You can end the effect of a recession on you and your life right
here and now.
Mindset + Action
= Results
There are thousands of years of evidence of bad things happening
all over the earth including death, war, famine, drought.
However, in the last thousand years we have produced incredible
art, traveled to other planets, cured many death inducing diseases and developed
inventions that have radically changed our lives. Heck, forget
the last thousand years. How about the last 20 years of
accomplishment and forward progress?
Don’t these facts beg the question: “How"
The most successful people on the face of the earth are
absolutely sure that no matter what, they can do what needs to
be done to create success in their lives. They are focused,
intentional, filled with integrity and know what they do best and do it daily. They have a success
Mindset that supports them even when the going gets impossibly
tough.
These people have inspired all of us. Everyone knows the story
of Edison trying 9,999 times to make a light bulb. Or how about
Einstein and his theory of relativity? Or Mother Teresa who
worked with the dreadfully sick and dying of India?
We have all experienced our own success
Mindset in our lives.
Maybe it was that race in high school that you trained for and
won or the promotion you received as a result of your dedication
and hard work. You thought about it; practiced what you needed to
do; refined your skills; learned your strengths and used them; and found the
people (whether in person or through books) who could support
you to reach your goal. You visualized it, dreamed about it,
talked about it. It became so important to you that you took Action.
The Actions are the steps we take when we have the
Mindset of
what is most important to us. Our goals are precise and well
thought out. Our Action steps move us toward goals in increments
we can accomplish. Actions look like: planning you days in advance;
getting up earlier; seeking the help of a coach; hanging sticky
notes of inspirational sayings on every flat surface in your
office/home.
Taking Action can also produce huge fears that can keep us
rooted in one spot so we cannot move forward. That is why when
putting together out plan for creating success, we know what
Results we want. Without knowing the Results we want, we won’t know when we get
there. These Results can not be arbitrary or hidden; they have
to be clear, developed, defined and important to us so we know
we have reached the goals we desire.
Mindset + Action = Results
Here at the Roadmap, your Extraordinary Success headquarters,
each Roadmap team member has a list of questions that we ask
ourselves on a daily basis to establish our Mindset. Once we
have the proper Mindset we are able to take the Actions we need and want to take
so that we can produce successful Results. I have permission of
