Songbirds vs. Snow banks
I
know that winter is staying too long when I get messages
from my clients saying that they are considering moving
south. I think that is a great idea. When I moved from NH
to TN I could not believe it when there was green stuff
growing in February. Here in TN we have lots of
green coming out of the
ground and my maple tree is budding. The songbirds are
outside my office window showing off. March 20th
is the first day of spring. Those of you in the Midwest,
New England and parts of the UK you don’t have much longer
to wear those snowshoes and arctic jackets.
So lets
create some success in our lives – spring is a perfect time
to be thinking about renewing and reviewing our strengths
and talents. Our work with several key and successful
leaders has inspired some of the new amazing things we are
cooking up for you. We are creating these new opportunities
for you, as well as ourselves and our team. Success tips,
techniques and strategies that help you create your roadmap
for extraordinary success.
We have
interviewed and hired a terrific new Executive Assistant to
add to our team. Her name is Ashvini. She is extremely
bright, and filled with the energy. Her technical

how I am thinking about my own personal roadmap. I am

Success is Always an Inside Job
I can’t say that I am
especially excited about the continued emphasis with all the
political activity, however I am TOTALLY impressed with the
resiliency of our political candidates. Whether we like
them or not, we have an opportunity to witness first hand
the idea that our success is always an inside job.
Why?
During the debate there is
incredible scrutiny of each candidate around their haircuts,
clothes, accents, gender, race and finally, their platform.
They also have to answer for what they said, wrote or voted
for from the beginning of their careers – sometimes as far
back as their college experience.
And yet each debate, caucus
and rally they are right back there with the commitment of
their convictions and what they really believe to be the
truth of how they can contribute to the success of our
country and then to the success of our earth.
What can we learn from our
political candidates that would help us build our own
roadmap to extraordinary success? Who we are and what
we believe is our contribution to the time we are here in
this world. Here is what I know would ultimately help you
get up each day and develop your roadmap for success:
-
Know what you do well –
what are your strengths and what do you have left to
learn?
-
How do your strengths
and talents fit into where your best contributions would
be?
-
Surround yourself with
really smart and caring people who will help you even
when you fail.
-
Develop a deep inner
faith and knowledge of the success secrets so you can
learn them first hand and own them forever.
You do not have to look any
further than your bathroom mirror to find out who is your
best support. My coaching clients are astonished when they
finally find out that the most powerful supporter in their
lives is really themselves.
Forget the idea that we
might call this kind of inner thinking to be ego centered.
Knowing oneself builds character and knowledge, not
arrogance. If on the playing field of life you take the
time to discover your strengths and talents and apply them
to your desires, you can construct a roadmap for success
that will guide and support you in a profound way.
With your roadmap for
success you will: build self confidence, inspire others with
your resilience, align yourself with the values you most
desire. And finally with your roadmap for success you
will be hanging out with a totally cool person who you like
and admire…YOU.
Very busy and highly
successful people immediately benefit from time spent
reflecting and developing their roadmap for their personal
and professional lives. In fact, the most successful people
you know, most likely, know exactly who they are and where
they are going because they discovered that creating their
roadmap will enhance the journey and embed incredible
success habits.
