Note from Natalie

Cherry Tomatoes

Tennessee is a great place to live. This weekend I discovered that my cherry tomatoes are finally ripe! My neighbors must have thought I looked like a little girl leaping in a puddle when I made this discovery in my front yard. I picked several right off the vine and popped them in my mouth – they tasted just like candy. I also noticed that you need to be careful picking those little red suckers, because the green ones still on the vine fall off easily.

Here is what I thought you can do with the green cherry tomatoes that fall off and aren’t ripe enough to eat:

  • Stick a paper clip through them and wear as jewelry, like earrings
  • Use them for marbles
  • Use as a garnish for a cheese plate
  • Pickle and can them as “tiny” green tomatoes
  • Toss them at the @#$%^&* squirrels (actually that is lots of fun!)

Wherever you are right now, I hope your July is providing you with food for thought about your successes and next steps for growing yourself.

Here at NMA, we are just about ready to share a harvest of great new products and program developed just for you, your team and your organization. Can’t wait to share them with you.

To Your Success,

Expert or Master?

By: Natalie R. Manor, CEO

Over the years I have been told that people are glad that I am an Expert at what I do. They are pleased to have an expert to guide them, help them, and give them the straight skinny on what will help them produce successful results. Such comments always make me smile and feel really good about the compliment.

Now, I am not so sure, but let me see where you stand on this and see if you want to be an Expert at what you do or a Master.

An Expert:

  • Is sought after for their talent and knowledge
  • Provides opinions and solutions for issues and problems
  • Gets to the root of the problem – helps you see what you might have been missing
  • Has lots of great credentials, education and experience
  • Knows more than you, always, and lets you know it

A Master is all of the above except for the last one. I now believe a Master of information, guidance or coaching is the true gem we all need and want.

A Master:

  • Is a continuous learning machine that easily provides others with useful and timely information
  • Easily shares their knowledge as a contribution to other’s growth and gaining in confidence
  • Understands that there is still much to learn and finds an excitement in the learning
  • Contributes to situations that could use their expertise and is generous with their help
  • Never stops contributing, learning, gathering, and sharing what they learn

We have all met Experts and Masters. I think, for me, the softening of the edge on what a true Master can provide allows me to be a better listener and learner. With a Master, there is no ego to have to get through or political dance required to gain the information.

So I ask you, what you are: Expert or Master?

I want to support you in becoming a Master in your life as I know it will ease the burden of having to know it all; do it all perfectly – right now; and providing it all – yesterday.

Becoming a Master supports success, confidence, humility, graciousness, contribution, and grace.

As I work with bright and classy people like you, I see the Master emerging in such stimulating ways. I think the days just are easier when we are mastering what is most important to us, our family, our team, our community, and our organization.

To our success and the mastery of it all.

Simple Nutritional Solutions

Does it feel like there seems to be less time in the day? We hear this question from our clients and colleagues on a daily basis. They are all trying desperately to move faster to keep up. They are doing their best to adjust to changes in their businesses and in their daily lives.

Often we find that successful business people like you tend to neglect themselves in an effort to “keep up” and “stay ahead”. For some, this means that they are exercising less or not at all. For others, this means going through the drive-thru for lunch or worse…eating out of the vending machine.

It is for all of the reasons listed above that NMA decided to partner with WholeFoodsFarmacy.com. We coach our clients and colleagues everyday around their behavior asking questions like “Is that serving you?” or “Is that effective?” Many of these questions are directly related to their self care, exercise and nutrition.

Our partnership with WholeFoodsFarmacy.com offers you, our clients, colleagues and friends simple solutions to your own self care and nutrition.
