Johnson City,
TN
- NMA, Natalie Manor & Associates announced this week that they
will be conducting a seminar for area leaders on Delivering
Difficult Information Successfully sponsored by the Johnson
City Chamber of Commerce from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.,
Wednesday, November 15 at the Holiday Inn on North Roan Street.
“One of the
most difficult, complicated, complex and most avoided aspects of
leadership/management is the delivering of difficult information
to people, whether they are staff, superiors, clients, vendors
or subordinates,” said CEO of ,
Natalie Manor. “We prolong the time we should be delivering the
information for many reasons: we don't want to disrupt the flow
of work; we don't want to hurt the person's feelings; we are
afraid it will cause ill feelings or tears; or maybe we did not
follow through with what was needed and the situation is partly
our fault. It does not matter the reason for not telling
someone something they will consider criticism or negative. It
is hard to deliver the information.”
will provide
and train participants on three (3) top preparation techniques
for gathering information to increase others’ performance and
productivity and then being able to deliver the information
successfully. Attendees will also receive a top ten (10) list
of red flags to help you understand that you need to take action
and help another improve their effectiveness. They will also
learn the top six (6) questions to ask in order to get to the
facts of any situation and help skip the emotion of the moment.
Manor has
spoken on Delivering Difficult Information Successfully at
venues across the nation and will bring the important seminar to
the Tri-Cities for the first time. “I would say that Natalie
Manor’s training on Delivering Difficult Information
Successfully, was an eye opening experience and an important
reminder of what we already know, that you treat people the way
you want to be treated,” said Human Resource Director, Community
Schools Council of New Hampshire, Mara Olisky.
The cost of
the seminar is $20 a person. To register for the seminar or to
request more information call the Johnson City Chamber at
423-461-8000, or email
clever@johnsoncitytnchamber.com.
